VE Session at AB Tech 2015 | KI4VLW and WD4AVY scoring exams |
Volunteer Examiners (VEs) are licensed Radio Amateurs holding a U.S. General Class license or higher, who contribute their time to conduct licensing exams through a FCC authorized Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (VEC) organization. A team of three or more WCARS-VEs conduct test sessions for those who are applying for a new license or upgrading an existing license.
WCARS-VEC applicant submissions to the FCC provide prompt issuance of new call signs or license upgrades. On normal workdays, this is often accomplished within the same day, and applicants usually have with their new privileges by the next day.
