License Class Privileges

Amateur Operators can communicate from virtually anywhere the FCC regulates amateur radio operations; the top of a mountain, at home, or mobile from your car. All this can be accomplished without relying on the Internet or a cell phone network. Amateur radio can go almost everywhere! When regularly available communications fail, hams can swing into action assisting emergency communications efforts and working with public service agencies.

With few limitations, and by observing established regulations along with good operating practices, an amateur radio operator can enjoy privileges not available to the general public, or used by most public service agencies.

Each progression in license class provides more privileges for an amateur radio operator to use and enjoy.
